There are so, SO many free games you can play on the web. I have a lot of favorites, but I can't just pick one! The following list is the FREE GAME STASH, where all the games are either a free download or available to play in browser. I moved these over from the Link Listings because I figured a lot of people just wanna play games instead of scour through 120+ links to find something fun.

• Armor Games - I used to play a lot of games FROM this site, but not directly on it. It seems to still work! Just another game site in the Old Flash category.
• Bored Button - Interactive games that truly fit into the Pointless Site category, but a good time waster. A classic from my childhood.
• Cave Story - Cave Story, or Doukutsu Monogatari, is a Japanese freeware PC side-scrolling platformer game. It's considered to be a Metroidvania style game developed in 2004. In the download section of the linked site, you can find the original game in many versions - from original Xbox and PlayStation, to modern day Mac and Windows, to PSP and GameCube.
• CoolMathGames - It would be wrong of me not to place my FAVORITE computer lab class passtime in this list. Bloxors is my life-long favorite, though I did love the Duck Life games.
• Deepnight Games - Deepnight Games was founded in 2020 by the Dead Cells lead dev and game-designer, Sébastien Benard. There's about 35 games, most of which are playable in browser (there's a few Flash games you may need to download if you want to try them). He also hosts a few developer tools, like an open source 2D level editor. My sibling is a huge fan of Dead Cells so I figure this is as good an addition as any!
• Flashpoint Archive Project - This project is easily one of the most important archives of Adobe Flash based videogames. Download the launcher and choose from over 200,000 games and animations! In 2017, Adobe announced that in 2020, they'd be shutting down Flash. The software platform allowed thousands of people to host games and animation directly on websites before YouTube's embed feature (actually they existed and became popular right before YouTube even launched as a company on the web). There were well over 200,000 Flash projects online, easily, but the project was short. It was originally done by a small team, but since expanded to hundreds of individuals attempting to save art and culture that was about to be wiped out. Not everything in Flashpoint is a winner - there's a lot of games with the same problems as Newgrounds - but there are quite a few that were iconic to the medium and I'm so glad they'll continue to live on. There's two versions - the Ultimate server which is 1.76 Terabytes(doesn't require internet to use), and the Infinity server which loads temporary info for only the games you launch (requires internet to use).
• FreeMediaHeckYeah (Caution) - This Reddit-run masterlist is one of the more extensive spots to get a lot of stuff. Use a VPN and protection, watch what you click, and always scan your downloads.
• Games for Scallywags - A masterlist of where to get a lot of fun. Always protect yourself, think before you click, and scan your downloads. I will keep saying it because you can very easily run into a virus in here.
• Internet Archive: MS-DOS Games - 8,000 games right in your web browser! Your browser can play DOOM!
• MyAbandonware - Remember the days when CD gaming was all the rage? Well, let's relive the past with My Abandonware! With games ranging from 1965 to 2012, there's a HUGE swath of games to choose from. The site loads EXTREMELY slowly, so please exercise patience when browsing!
• NCase - Free games and open source projects from Nicky. Really good articles and introspective game design, I love Nicky's work and find it both extremely honest and charmingly funny. You may even recognize some of these games and concepts. Very much worth your time! If you click anything in the Fun section, it should be this.
• Newgrounds - A website from 1998! Newgrounds is home to many things, like indie animated series and games, and has been both famous and infamous in the communities it touches. While some indie concepts flourish in this space, there's plenty of... Bigoted? Ignorant? Concepts that are not kind to most people. Browse with caution. Also there's a lot of terrible, broken, crap games on here BUT that's part of the charm.
• Nitrome - One of my FAVORITE online gaming websites on the web. The fact that it was still up and in operation made me yell with joy in my office! Play a bunch of HTML5 and Flash remnants. If you go, try out Skywire :)
• Numuki - Archived children's flash games in your browser. Works best with adblockers.
• Pointless Sites - A free site full of free tools and game websites. Anything considered as "extremely useless sites, random sites, useless websites, pointless websites, time wasters, pointless pages, pointlessness and pointless webpages"! Though, that doesn't mean they're completely useless. Play with a digital re-creation of a lost freemason game, or tetris with... sand?
• Soul Void: Redux - Free browser/GBA game where you help lost souls in the void. A short, 1-3 hour experience made in the style of a gameboy-era game. Beautifully made and haunting. I think in the future, I'll be making a blog post about itch.io games you can play for free that fall into my personal favorite genres.
• Vimm's Lair (Caution) - Now, if you wanted to uhm... Recreate certain gaming experiences, Vimm's Lair is the spot where a lot of people pull from. Use a VPN and protecion, and always scan your downloads.
